Imma Let You Snub Him

Kanye West says the grammy snub is his own-- Imma let you finish, but Britney had the biggest Grammy snub of the whole year.

When the Grammy Noms were announced this year, everyone was super excited for Adele, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj who all scored a few nods.  There were also some glaring absences. 
Britney was snubbed as usual, but the Kanye also didn't get nominated for Album of the Year for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, his critically acclaimed album.  Katy Perry's Teenage Dream which spawned Thriller-like singles only got 2 noms. Taylor Swift got shut out of the Big 4 categories. Lady Gaga didn't get a nom for Artist of the Year despite her rabid fanbase (myself included) and her massive sales.  Bon Iver's success was a shock to me as a non fan, but whatever.  Beyoncé's 4 only got one nom, a shock for hardcore fans.

I've never loved the Grammy's and their choices for noms.  They usually do well in choosing from their choices on the show night, but if I made the nom list, I might be a tad--read a HUGE-- bit different. But Kanye's comments, while they might look like a diversion in a headline are par for the course.  He didn't get nominated, he says, because he released too much good material in a year... sure.
